Let's Get Hopping Round 9 - Set Of Cards

Well hello everyone! I hope that you are having a magnificent start to your May! If you are new here, my name is Carolynn Sander. I am a Canadian Stampin' Up! Independent Demonstrator from Calgary, Alberta. I am so happy to have you here with me today! If you have been hopping along, you most likely arrived here via the wonderful Diana Tillery! Wasn't that set of cards she created fabulous? I would have to say so! If you want to capture all of the fabulous card groupings today, make sure to click on the next button at the end of this post so that you don't miss out!

YES!!! Do I sound excited? Well I am! The theme for today's blog hop is a "Set of Cards"! How fun to create not just one card, but a grouping of cards that coordinate! These cards would be great to send out individually, or to package together as a gift on their own. Don't yah think?

I am very much in love with the fun bright display of colours I have chosen for today's funky set! Saying that, is that Tempting Turquoise card tempting you right now? If so you might want to make sure that you start hoarding as much of that Tempting Turquoise stuff as you can. Why? Well because as of June 1st this colour will be a part of the Stampin' Up! hall of fame. Never to be purchased again. (Insert sad face here). Yes you have it right... this gorgeous colour is retiring, along with a few other Stampin' Up! favourites. Don't cry too hard over it though. There will be many more pretty hues introduced by Stampin' Up! with the release of the new annual catty in June. The new shades will be sure to freshen up that palate of crafting supplies you got going on at home.

If you are interested in learning how I created the crazy cool background(s) on today's set of cards, you may just want to check back here tomorrow. I will have a full video tutorial to share with you! I am calling this technique the "Joesph's Ombre Coat Technique". It's a modern spin on an old favourite!

There are many more colours you could use with this great technique. Tomorrow I will have one other to share! Saying that, I can't wait to create this same card with some of the new Stampin' Up! hues that are ready to be released! I may have to preorder some of them ASAP! As a Stampin' Up! demo you can do that you know! Having the ability to purchase some of those new yet to be released goodies is just one of the many perks to being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator!  If you are in Canada, and becoming a Stampin' Up! demonstrator interests you, be sure to click HERE for more details on how you can join my team!

Well I hope that you have enjoyed today's set of cards, and that they inspire you to go and create your own! For a full list of supplies used to create today's cards make sure to scroll down to the end of this post. And remember to check back tomorrow for that video tutorial!
