A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop ~ Giftable Greetings

Happy Thursday everyone! I hope you are enjoying your last day in August! For those who may be new here, my name is Carolynn Sander. I am Canadian Stampin' Up! Independent Demonstrator located in Calgary, Alberta. Today's post is showcasing the Giftable Greetings August Paper Pumpkin kit! This kit is by far one of my favourites to date. You will see why when you check out today's project as well as the rest of today's blog hop. Make sure to click on the next button at the end of this post so that you get to enjoy all of the fun ideas to be shared!

This month's kit was intended to be a box of "Giftable" cards (as shown in the photo above). The original project was so awesome that it was truly hard for me to sway from the norm. But, the goal of this hop is to come up with alternate ideas. As my wheels began to turn the 1st thing that came to my mind was chocolate! Go figure! lol ... I then couldn't help but fill this box with some of my most favourite chocolates.

When it came to prettying up this box of sweet treats I had to add some gold bling to tie in with the gold foil on the chocolates I used here. The Stampin' Up! Metallic Foil Doilies as well as the Metallic Enamel Shapes were perfect for this task! You can check them out up close in the images below!

Aren't they pretty? After decorating the box of chocolates, I then wanted to create a card to go along with this sweet gift! Here's what I came up with...

My task is to now deliver some thanks before I gobble up these chocolates myself! That shouldn't be too difficult right? I also have left over Paper Pumpkin supplies to create with! Honestly ... these kits are such an amazing value! If you haven't subscribed to Paper Pumpkin yet you need to give it a shot! You won't be disappointed! I promise! If you are in Canada feel free to click HERE to subscribe! FYI, until September 10th there is a special promotion for new subscribers. Simply use the promo code HALFOFF0917 at check out! Be Inspired Design Team Blog Hop ~ Card in a Box

Hello everyone! Welcome to my blog! If you are new here, my name is Carolynn Sander and I am a Stampin' Up! Independent Demonstrator from Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Today the Be Inspired Design Team is having another around the world blog hop. The theme this time is anything and everything birthday! If you have been hopping along you would have just arrived here via Tanja Kolar's blog. Wasn't her birthday project fabulous? I am sure that everyone's ideas today will be nothing but inspirational! Make sure to click on the next button at the end of today's post so that you catch the entire line up!

I have been wanting to create a "Card in a Box" for quite a while now! I figured today's hop was the perfect time to try this out! In birthday style of course!

I can't lie! I think I spent more time decorating this pop up box than I did assembling it! I have seen many similar cards on pinterest the past few years. As well, there are numerous tutorials out there. A quick google search for "Card in a Box" and you will be laughing! Why it took me so long to create one of my own? I have no idea! But I will definitely be making more! They are so much fun! Below is a little interactive video I created so that you can see this baby in action! You will understand my excitement after you have a peek! Simply click on the play icon below to watch this short but sweet recording.

What do you think? Super cool hey? Believe it or not, this card can actually collapse to fit in an envelope! OMG!!!  You can see photos of this surprise box all neatly folded up below!

Ta-da!! Are wondering where you would sign a card like this? Well have a look at the next picture.  It shows the back of today's project. This is typically where one would write their happy birthday message. Too precious huh?

Most of the details on today's card were fussy cut from the Stampin' Up! Birthday Memories Designer Series Paper. Yep! I fussy cut those little poodles and they were worth it! Check out the patterns in this DSP Pack below. They scream birthday!!! And those poodles! 💖💖💖 I am in love!

You can check out this DSP, as well as the rest of the supplies used in the making of today's card explosion, by clicking on the supply list at the end of today's post. But first and foremost you need to stop by Maike Beimler's blog! She is up next and I am sure she will have us all in awe! Click on the next button to be taken to her place, all the way across the ocean!
