Sale-A-Bration - Masked Flowers

Happy Saturday to all! I feel like the storm clouds are dissipating, and the sun is starting to peek through again. AKA my death/man cold is just about finished it's course! I pretty much lost a week of my life but I'm still here, and what better way to celebrate than with a cheery flowery card! This card features one of my favorite free Sale-A-Bration sets (What I love), & two of my favorite Stampin' techniques (2 Step Stamping & Masking). Both of these techniques are super easy & help to add that extra dimension to your project! I can't help but think that this card should be for my 5 year old daughter. It screams girl & I do love her so. I may have to come up with some masculine cards soon too...

Feel free to contact me if you are interested in learning more about these techniques. I would love for you to join me in this escape!

Thanks for stopping by!

P.S. Check out the Stampin' supply list below for all of the materials used in the making of this card.

Loving Those Baby Eyes ~ Frozen In Time

I'm heading back to work as a nurse this weekend so here is my last post before the big stretch of night shifts! I'm not going to lie, I really love how these pages turned out! My daughter is the 3rd child and I have been way behind on her memory books (ie. I had barely started her 1st book and she is now 5). This Project Life Layout turned out so pretty & although it sways from the traditional scrapbook layout, it was so simple to produce, as the pockets provide the layout design for you. Being a traditional scrapper myself, I like to mix the traditional with the new, to leave room for the artistic part!  Hence the presence of the 12 by 12 page here. With time I think the ease of this system will help me to get a few more memories documented. To be treasured forever ...

Sometimes it is easy to forget why I started with this hobby. I love making cards & 3-D items, but what got me started in this world of paper crafts was my love for my family, and my desire to have some of the most precious moments frozen in time. These moments will now be here in this book for us to treasure forever <3.

If you are interested in learning more about how you can store your memories in such a way please contact me. I would love to assist you in hosting a gathering where I can share this process with you.

Cheers!

Sale-A-Bration

Hi everyone, today I just had to share these fun, yet quick and easy cards, that we made at our team meeting last night. Thanks again so much to Allison Okamitsu, my upline & friend who planned and prepped these cards for us to make. It's so nice going to someone else's house to stamp, and Allison always finds a way to spoil us! These cards were all made using products from the Sale-A-Bration special that is offered by Stampin' Up! once a year. For every $60 of Stampin' Up! merchandise that you purchase during the promotion, you receive an item of your choice from the Sale-A-Bration catalogue for free! It's a great way to start your Stampin' collection, or add to your current stash !

Stampin' Up also has great added bonus specials right now for hosting a party (in home or online), or for signing up as a demo! Feel free to contact me (email: carebearstamps@gmail.com) if you are at all interested as I would love to share this wonderful hobby with you!

Colour Blocking Butterfly

Hi friends! The sun is out spreading cheer today, & I thought I'd do the same by sharing with you this fun & bright butterfly card that is so simple to make!

This card was made using the colour blocking technique. This basically means you choose a few fun colours to work with, you then cut and measure your cardstock to size & adhere the pieces side by side. It's so simple yet it adds some fun interest to your project. I then used the Butterfly Thinlit Dies by Stampin' Up! with my Big Shot Machine to create the main image here. I like the clean simplicity of this card. Spring is not too far away right?

Lil Dear

It's been rather cold this past weekend and to warm my mood I have been on a stamping hot streak. My messy craft room is proof of this! Although let's get real, is my crafty area less cluttered any other day of the year? Not really .... we won't post pictures of that! Here's another card I've put together for our next group card making night. I love this "little dear"! Watercoloring him was a snap with the Stampin' Up! Aqua Painters paired with the Shimmery White Cardstock. It's true ... I think the world just got a bit cuter with the addition of this lil guy!

Honeycomb Birthday

Well here we are in January 2016, it's finally unwind time for me which means I get a little bit of me time to stamp. I'll be having a card making night again in the next while and one of my favorite pastimes is planning projects for others to create! I can't wait for others to try out these adorable honeycomb embellishments! What's even better is the coordinating stamp set is free with a Stampin' Up! purchase of $60 during Sale-A-Bration! Click on the link to my shop to check out all the new products!

I decided to combine today's card with the Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge. This blog is a great place to go for card template inspiration! Here's the sketch for today's card!
