My 1st Stampin' Up! Onstage Live Event in Salt Lake City ~ Part 2

Well if you hadn't heard, I was so so excited for this Stampin' Up! Onstage Live event! Why you ask? Well not only was I going to meet some of my most favourite crafty peeps, but I was chosen to be a display stamper for this grand occasion! What did this entail? Well after applying for this honorable role, and then being privileged enough to be chosen for the task, it was my mission to create 15 to 20 projects using not yet released products! All courtesy of Stampin' Up! of course! Here is what I came up with! These products aren't available for purchase until January 2018. The caveat to that ... well if you decide to sign up as a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator!, you can purchase these products before anyone else! It's a definite perk to this fun job! Feel free to contact me if you are in Canada and are interested in this opportunity! Or click HERE for more information!

Well what do you think? This might look like a small task, but many hours went into the creation of these projects. I still can't believe that my work was on display for over 2000 papercrafters to see! I did snap a few pictures of the crowd of onlookers. I hope that I was able to inspire even just a few Stampin' Up! Demonstrators with this display of art. If you are intrigued by the samples here today, then stay tuned. I will be sharing close ups of each project on my blog in the coming weeks.

As much as I loved the display stamping experience, the best part of this adventure was meeting up with the many friends I have made along this blogging & crafting journey. It is crazy to think that over a year ago, I did not even know of this friend Maria. She knows how to make me laugh until I am blue in the face, but also brought me to sobbing tears when it came time for us to depart. I am a blubbering mess as I type this. This trip to Salt Lake City was a trip of a lifetime for me. Not because I went to Salt Lake, not because I love Stampin' Up! (lets get real ... you know how much I love Stampin' Up!), not because I was chosen to be a display stamper, but because of the golden kinships I am so blessed to hold in my heart.

Maria was determined to rent a house so that we could all hang out when on this trip! Here is a picture of the "Backback Brigade" as we headed off to Onstage Live 2017. Many wondered what we were doing in town? The answer was quite simple... "We are nerds. We cut paper for fun!"  😂

When I speak of friendships, the girls over at TGIF Challenges are also on the top of my list! Getting together in person with all of these wonderful ladies fills my cup! Like for real ... my cup is overflowing! I have to brag a wee bit on behalf of this team as well. Three of our members were chosen to be on the Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team for 2018! Congrats to Charlet Mallet, Elizabeth Price, and Cathy Caines!

Unfortunately, a few of our team members slipped away for lunch when guess who showed up? Well Sara Douglass of course! Thank you for the photo op Sara! If you don't know who Sara is then you have been living under a papercrafting rock! lol Sara is the CEO of Stampin' Up! OMG!

I also can't forget my friend Jenny Hall! She is the lead of the Creating Kindness Team! It was so nice to meet her in person for a real life hug!

Lastly there is Lisa. I had only met Lisa once before this trip. She is from Calgary as well, but knew very few people on this trip, so we couldn't leave her a stray. I think she enjoyed her time with us all!

Well that sums up the best of the best! I have many more photos to rummage through! I hope that by sharing my Stampin' Up! Onstage Live experience, you feel inspired to attend the event one day! It was a trip of a lifetime for me! If you haven't already read Part 1 of this story, you can do so by clicking HERE! It was a busy few days, hence the bags under the eyes, but it was all well worth it!

Thanks so much for visiting today!

Cheers & Happy stamping!

My 1st Stampin' Up! Onstage Live Event in Salt Lake City ~ Part 1

Well here I am ... already reminiscing, as I sip coffee from my brand new Stampin' Up! mug. I am truly blown away at how far I have come in the past year. I would never have imagined that I would have the opportunity to attend my 1st Stampin' Up! Onstage Live event! I am so happy that I took the plunge! It was an experience I will never forget! I hope you enjoy what I have to share with you today! This experience was unforgettable! #OnStage2017

When I arrived in Salt Lake City I enjoyed some me time the 1st night! This was the view I had from my hotel room at the Holiday Inn Express! I was on the 11th floor. It was pretty amazing, as you can see from the picture I took below! I would definitely stay here again!

After enjoying a nice meal at J. Wongs Thai & Chinese Bistro, I did some last minute paper crafting in my hotel room. I then hit the hay. Despite being alone, I enjoyed this first night. It was nice to have some quiet time by myself before the excitement really hit! When I awakened the next morning, a tour of the Stampin' Up! home office was in the works!

The home office was as beautiful as I had envisioned! Saying that, the experience itself was beyond words. I met a new friend on this tour. Her name was Jan & she touched my heart. We shed a few tears on the bus ride to the home office. Strangers who were meant to be more than strangers. I could have sat anywhere on that bus. There were many empty seats. But for some reason I sat beside Jan. As we chatted in excitement, I learned that we had more in common than our love for Stampin' Up! Jan will always hold a special place in my heart. I am so blessed to have met her on this tour.

On this tour of the Stampin' Up! headquarters, I was also lucky enough to run into this special gal. Yep Cathy Caines! OMG! My fellow Canadian demo & team member from over at TGIF Challenges! She is now a three time Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team member! She is so very talented! It was so nice to meet up with her!

Now you don't just want to see pictures of me and my friends do you? Here are a few of my favourite pictures from the Stampin' Up! head office tour!

Those are just a few! Doesn't this look like a lovely place to work? The facility is infused with happiness & papercrafted art! 💖

The rest of Wednesday was spent with my upline Allison Okamitsu! Yep! She is my upline & friend! 😊 We stamped the night away at Robyn Cardon's Stampin' Spectacular Event! It was phenomenal! I was in awe that one demonstrator could put on such a massive event! Not only did I have a blast, but I learned a lot as well. Again, thank you so much for the warm welcome Robyn! You are an inspiration to all!

This day was as spectacular as ever! After getting back to my hotel I became one with my pillow. The next day would prove to be more than I could have ever imagined!

Cheers & Happy Stamping!

Stampin' Up! Sweet Cupcake Stamp Set ~ #TGIFC131 Eclipse Technique

Good day everyone! Welcome to another fun Friday with the TGIF Challenges group! For those who may be new here, my name is Carolynn Sander. I am a Canadian Stampin' Up! Independent Demonstrator from Calgary, Alberta. The TGIF group is showcasing the "Eclipse Technique" this week. Be sure to check out the TGIF Challenges site for some amazing projects that might leave you seeing double!

The eclipse technique is super hot in the paper crafting world these days! Today the TGIF girls are putting their own spin on this funky idea! Here is the card I came up with! I hope you enjoy it, as it's pretty sweet. Be sure to join us in the fun this week, and share your own creation with our team. The more the merrier!

I love how this card turned out today, but to be honest, at first thought I didn't know if I would follow through with today's post. I have been uber busy with life demands, as well as planning for our daughter's birthday this coming weekend. To top it off, I am getting ever so slightly nervous for my big trip to Salt Lake City that is coming up. I was blessed enough to be chosen to be a Display Stamper at this phenomenal event! Saying that, I have never attended something so crazy amazing! Let alone been a part of it! So yes, I have been crafting away! But I am not at liberty to share the fun projects I have been busy making until Stampin' Up! says it's okay to do so. It's kinda top secret you know! Regardless, when you see all of the amazing products that are soon to be released, you will be in awe. I can say that much!

In the meantime, we have more than enough fab stuff to play with! Like the Sweet Cupcake Stamp Set, and coordinating dies that I used to create today's card. Isn't it delicious? I would have to say so!

Well enough of my jabber for today! I have a LOT of stuff to do! I am so happy to be blessed enough to be able to do it all though ... right? I hope you take care, and have a lovely weekend. Maybe you will find a wee bit of time to create an eclipse card. Or just chill and enjoy the moment. That's important too.

All my best!
