Be Inspired Design Team Blog Hop - Miss You

Hi there! Welcome to the Be Inspired Design Team Blog Hop! You are currently visiting Carolynn Sander in Calgary, Alberta, Canada! If you have been hopping along, you most likely arrived here via my super talented friend  Janneke Dijkstra - de Jong! Wasn't her creation today fabulous? She is always inspiring me! 💖

The theme for today's hop is Good Bye or Miss You! As the dawn of a new Stampin' Up! Catalogue draws near, there are many retiring Stampin' Products that we must say farewell to. I have used a stamp from one of my favorite retiring sets on today's card. Can you guess which stamp it is? If you aren't too sure, have a look at the supply list at the end of this post and you should be able to solve the mystery! My hint is I also used this stamp set in my previous blog post. Okay, I am sure I gave it away now. 😂 Hope I didn't ruin your fun!

One thing that I realized when creating a project for today's hop was how few "Good Bye" or "Miss You" stamps that I actually own. The miss you stamp I ended up using was this sweet "I miss your face." sentiment stamp from the Stampin' Up! Hello Beauty Photopolymer Stamp Set. The stamps in the set are full of fun shapes and patterns, I wanted to create a card that really went with this saying. Hence why I combined a variety of Stampin' Up! products to create today's card. Check out the images in the Stampin' Up! Hello Beauty Photopolymer Stamp Set below!

I of course also used 2 other stamp sets in addition, a total of 4 stamp sets for 1 card! Why keep it simple? The sets and card did come together quite simply though, despite using so many products. Stampin' Up! products are made to coordinate, allowing my imagination to run wild with ease.

Here is a close up of today's project. I created the soft clouds in the background by using the cloud shaped dies from the Stampin' Up! Rainbow of Happiness Bundle. After cutting them out I used the negative piece left over as a mask. I then lightly sponged some Coastal Cabana Ink with my Stampin' Up! Blending Brush. The soft cloudy background turned out just how I envisioned. What do you think?

I hope that you enjoyed today's project!  Up next in today's hop is Brian King! Brian is always inspiring me with his art! I am so grateful to be hopping with him today! I am sure he will blow you away! 💖
