Stampin' Up! You're Priceless Stamp Set #TGIFC159

Hi everyone! Welcome to another fun Friday with the TGIF Challenges team! My name is Carolynn Sander. I am a Stampin' Up! Independent Demonstrator from Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Today I have a sparkley card to share with you! I hope you enjoy it! As well, remember to check out the TGIF Challenges site today! There are lots of inspiring ideas! If you feel inclined, we would love to have you join in with us this week! Have fun creating your masterpiece and upload it to your blog or favourite social media site. Then share it to our page! It's a ton of fun!

Today's challenge is a sketch inspired one! I have to say that the above sketch gets those creative wheels turning! It was fun to create a card using a layout that is so unique!

How do you think I did with this week's sketch? I am not going to lie, I actually didn't know where to start with this one. I just wasn't feeling it when I stewed over today's project. Then I sat down at my crafty table & this gem patterned Memories & More card was sitting at random in a pile in front of me. It caught my view! I thought ... Why not? And that glimmer paper was under my desk! Ka-Boom! The creative process was reignited! I am so glad I hadn't cleaned up my craft table after it's last use. If I had, who knows what I would have come up with today?

I am going to keep it quick and to the point today, as I should clean up my craftermath. It truly keeps getting bigger and bigger! I hope that you enjoyed today's project! Thank you so much for visiting today! Remember to stop by the TGIF Challenges site and join in the fun this week! Feel free to contact me if you have any questions. As well, if you are from Canada check out my online 24/7 Stampin' Up! supply shop below! There are some awesome retiring goodies that are now on special while supplies last! Cheers & Happy Stamping!

Creating Kindness Blog Hop - Technique

Happy Thursday everyone! Welcome to another Creating Kindness around the world blog hop! You are currently visiting Carolynn Sander, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. If you have been following the hop you would have just arrived here via Marcy Denning. She is my oh so talented friend! Wasn't her project today gorgeous? I thought it was so soft & pretty.💖 Now as for today's hop, the theme this round is Techniques! I decided to throw a spin on one of my fave techniques today. I am calling it the "Joseph's Ombre Coat Technique". I hope you enjoy! Remember to click on the next button at the end of this post so that you are able to check out the entire hop! Believe me, you will be disappointed if you don't!

I won't go into too much detail explaining this technique as I have included a full video technique tutorial today (keep on reading and you will get there 😉). Saying that, the Stampin' Up! Marbled Background Stamp was a necessity when it came to making this technique shine. I love how it gives this card a galaxy feel! The sentiment shown here, which is from the Charming Cafe Stamp Set by Stampin' Up! was a perfect pairing with this backdrop! I like to think that I can thank my lucky stars for those special friendships in life. This card portrays just that.

What do think of today's colour combo? Are you loving it? Or maybe not? Well guess what ... I actually created a set of cards that are all pretty much the same, but with different colours. I think that they all pop! Any fun and bright colour would work perfectly if you want to replicate this card!

What do you think? Which colour is your fave? I truly can't decide... but that Melon Mambo card does pull at my heart strings a wee bit more than the others. If you want to see close ups of these cards check out my post from yesterday by clicking HERE

As far as that video tutorial I promised, I hope you find it useful! Leave a comment below to let me know what you think!

Today's blog hop is also a video hop. In order to view all of today's video tutorials, click on the YouTube icon below. Once you are on my YouTube channel, you can then view the video description area where all of the video links for today's hop are posted in one place! I hope that you get a chance to watch them all! You won't regret it!

So what did you think of today's video? I hope it inspires you to give this fun technique a try! Change it up with a different stamp set even! Solid stamps seem to work the best, as you want to show off those colourful backdrops! Now on with the blog hop! Next is Jerim Dickins! Her creation is stunning today! Click on the next button below so that you don't miss out!
