Be Inspired Design Team Blog Hop - Stampin' Up! Textured Floral Stamp Set

The focus of today's hop is centered around the Stampin' Up! Colour Wheel and Colour Theory (details found on pages 132 & 133 of the Annual Catalogue). I love that Stampin' Up! has again put its wonderful colours into a colour wheel! We have more of a mini-hop today since many of our team members are getting into the vacation season. I hope you still love what our wee team has to share with you today! 💖

Today's card features the Stampin' Up! Textured Floral Stamp Set! I was very excited to ink up these stamps, and today's Triadic Colour theme was perfect for me when it came to getting creative. You can see images from pages 132 & 133 of the Stampin' Up! Catalogue below, but if you wish to see them in more detail either get yourself a paper copy of the catty, or view it online. Triadic means taking 3 colours that are somewhat evenly spaced on the colour wheel and putting them together to create stunning projects! 

The "Triadic" colours I chose for today were Azure Afternoon, Poppy Parade, & Lemon Lime Twist. Following the colour wheel and using the Triadic Colour Theory makes creating a breeze. I will definitely be turning to these pages of the catalogue many more times in the near future when looking for colour inspo! Do you love these hues as much as I do? Today's card features the Sweetest Cherries Stamp Set! This stamp set was perfect for showcasing the bright and beautiful In Colours! 

I will miss these vibrant colours so much! There is still a short time to stock up on your stash, so if you love these hues as much as I do, make sure that you act fast so that you don't miss out!

The card I created above is actually pretty easy to recreate. The birdies and the backdrop were all cut and cropped from the Sale-A-Bration Flight & Airy Designer Series Paper (DSP).  This DSP is so beautiful. You could honestly whip together many types of cards with the paper alone. Have a look at the images in this paper pack and you will know what I mean! Swoon! 

Aren't there so many wonderful prints in this DSP pack?  You can earn this pack of DSP for FREE with a qualifying order of Stampin' Up! merchandise. Be Inspired Design Team Blog Hop - Embossing Folders

The theme for today's hop is Embossing Folders! Stampin' Up! has a fabulous array of embossing folders. I decided to use on of my favorite new folders on today's project. Can you guess which one? 💖

 

Did you guess right? I used the Countryside Blossoms Folder. When I embossed with this folder I left to top portion of my cardstock out of the folder, leaving a portion of my cardstock sans impression, AKA "plain". I really like the look. Such a simple twist that adds more interest. 

I also used another folder on my card today. It is a wee difficult to see as it is so subtle, but if you look closely just below the focal sentiment I added a portion of a vellum trimmed doily. This doily was cut out using the Stampin' Up! Delightful Doily Hybrid Embossing Folder. The possibilities are endless with this Hybrid Folder. I love it & I am sure you will too.

Stampin' Up! Pick Of The Patch Bundle - #TGIFC439

Hi everyone! My name is Carolynn, I am a Stampin' Up! Independent Demonstrator from Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The TGIF Team is at it again with some crafty inspiration! Come on over to the TGIF Challenges Site and have fun creating with us! We would love to see what you come up with!

This week's theme is "Pumpkin Patch"! Create a fun fall-themed project using pumpkins or whatever autumn-themed supplies you have. The possibilities are endless! 

The Stampin' Up! Pick Of The Patch bundle was perfect for this week's topic so I had to get inky with it! I also went a little crazy with my Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Take a look at the supply list at the end of today's post for all of the items that went into creating this cute card!   

The Stampin' Up! Pick Of The Patch Punch makes popping out multiple pumpkins a breeze. I have joined a card swap that is due at the end of the week. Shhhhh.... this is the card that I will be mailing to 7 crafty friends. I think I should also create a few more to mail out to others as well. I love giving and receiving happy mail. There is nothing better than opening up a hand-made card that was created with love.
