Creating Kindness Blog Hop - Technique

Happy Thursday everyone! Welcome to another Creating Kindness around the world blog hop! You are currently visiting Carolynn Sander, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. If you have been following the hop you would have just arrived here via Marcy Denning. She is my oh so talented friend! Wasn't her project today gorgeous? I thought it was so soft & pretty.💖 Now as for today's hop, the theme this round is Techniques! I decided to throw a spin on one of my fave techniques today. I am calling it the "Joseph's Ombre Coat Technique". I hope you enjoy! Remember to click on the next button at the end of this post so that you are able to check out the entire hop! Believe me, you will be disappointed if you don't!

I won't go into too much detail explaining this technique as I have included a full video technique tutorial today (keep on reading and you will get there 😉). Saying that, the Stampin' Up! Marbled Background Stamp was a necessity when it came to making this technique shine. I love how it gives this card a galaxy feel! The sentiment shown here, which is from the Charming Cafe Stamp Set by Stampin' Up! was a perfect pairing with this backdrop! I like to think that I can thank my lucky stars for those special friendships in life. This card portrays just that.

What do think of today's colour combo? Are you loving it? Or maybe not? Well guess what ... I actually created a set of cards that are all pretty much the same, but with different colours. I think that they all pop! Any fun and bright colour would work perfectly if you want to replicate this card!

What do you think? Which colour is your fave? I truly can't decide... but that Melon Mambo card does pull at my heart strings a wee bit more than the others. If you want to see close ups of these cards check out my post from yesterday by clicking HERE

As far as that video tutorial I promised, I hope you find it useful! Leave a comment below to let me know what you think!

Today's blog hop is also a video hop. In order to view all of today's video tutorials, click on the YouTube icon below. Once you are on my YouTube channel, you can then view the video description area where all of the video links for today's hop are posted in one place! I hope that you get a chance to watch them all! You won't regret it!

So what did you think of today's video? I hope it inspires you to give this fun technique a try! Change it up with a different stamp set even! Solid stamps seem to work the best, as you want to show off those colourful backdrops! Now on with the blog hop! Next is Jerim Dickins! Her creation is stunning today! Click on the next button below so that you don't miss out!

Thank you so very much for visiting today! I am always so thrilled to have you! If you have any questions in regards to today's project feel free to message me, or leave a comment below!
