Care Bear Stamps: Creating Kindess Blog Hop

Happy Thursday everyone! Welcome to another Creating Kindness around the world blog hop! You are currently visiting Carolynn Sander, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Now as for today's hop, the theme this round is "Colour"! I am a big fan of anything bright and colourful! I hope that you enjoy the palette I have chosen to go with for today! The Stampin' Up! Magical Mermaid Stamp Set is one of my favourite stamp sets from the Stampin' Up! 2017-2018 Annual Catalogue. I decided to use this set as my inspiration for the colours I chose to go with for today. To create an aquatic ocean scene I first stamped and embossed the background with Versamark Ink and Copper Stampin' Emboss Powder. I then watercoloured the background using my Aqua Painter combined with my Bermuda Bay, Pool Party, and Emerald Envy Inks.

To give this mermaid a mystical feel I decided to paint her hair with a couple of my favourite purple hues. Elegant Eggplant, and Wisteria Wonder were my colours of choice for this task. I then added in some Blushing Bride for the skin tones. Voila! That is where today's "Colour Inspiration" came from!
