My 1st Stampin' Up! Onstage Live Event in Salt Lake City ~ Part 2

Well if you hadn't heard, I was so so excited for this Stampin' Up! Onstage Live event! Why you ask? Well not only was I going to meet some of my most favourite crafty peeps, but I was chosen to be a display stamper for this grand occasion! What did this entail? Well after applying for this honorable role, and then being privileged enough to be chosen for the task, it was my mission to create 15 to 20 projects using not yet released products! All courtesy of Stampin' Up! of course! Here is what I came up with! These products aren't available for purchase until January 2018. The caveat to that ... well if you decide to sign up as a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator!, you can purchase these products before anyone else! It's a definite perk to this fun job! Feel free to contact me if you are in Canada and are interested in this opportunity! Or click HERE for more information!

Well what do you think? This might look like a small task, but many hours went into the creation of these projects. I still can't believe that my work was on display for over 2000 papercrafters to see! I did snap a few pictures of the crowd of onlookers. I hope that I was able to inspire even just a few Stampin' Up! Demonstrators with this display of art. If you are intrigued by the samples here today, then stay tuned. I will be sharing close ups of each project on my blog in the coming weeks.

As much as I loved the display stamping experience, the best part of this adventure was meeting up with the many friends I have made along this blogging & crafting journey. It is crazy to think that over a year ago, I did not even know of this friend Maria. She knows how to make me laugh until I am blue in the face, but also brought me to sobbing tears when it came time for us to depart. I am a blubbering mess as I type this. This trip to Salt Lake City was a trip of a lifetime for me. Not because I went to Salt Lake, not because I love Stampin' Up! (lets get real ... you know how much I love Stampin' Up!), not because I was chosen to be a display stamper, but because of the golden kinships I am so blessed to hold in my heart.

Maria was determined to rent a house so that we could all hang out when on this trip! Here is a picture of the "Backback Brigade" as we headed off to Onstage Live 2017. Many wondered what we were doing in town? The answer was quite simple... "We are nerds. We cut paper for fun!"  😂

When I speak of friendships, the girls over at TGIF Challenges are also on the top of my list! Getting together in person with all of these wonderful ladies fills my cup! Like for real ... my cup is overflowing! I have to brag a wee bit on behalf of this team as well. Three of our members were chosen to be on the Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team for 2018! Congrats to Charlet Mallet, Elizabeth Price, and Cathy Caines!

Unfortunately, a few of our team members slipped away for lunch when guess who showed up? Well Sara Douglass of course! Thank you for the photo op Sara! If you don't know who Sara is then you have been living under a papercrafting rock! lol Sara is the CEO of Stampin' Up! OMG!

I also can't forget my friend Jenny Hall! She is the lead of the Creating Kindness Team! It was so nice to meet her in person for a real life hug!

Lastly there is Lisa. I had only met Lisa once before this trip. She is from Calgary as well, but knew very few people on this trip, so we couldn't leave her a stray. I think she enjoyed her time with us all!

Well that sums up the best of the best! I have many more photos to rummage through! I hope that by sharing my Stampin' Up! Onstage Live experience, you feel inspired to attend the event one day! It was a trip of a lifetime for me! If you haven't already read Part 1 of this story, you can do so by clicking HERE! It was a busy few days, hence the bags under the eyes, but it was all well worth it!

Thanks so much for visiting today!

Cheers & Happy stamping!

  1. Oh, my friend. You are so amazing. This truly was the trip of a lifetime and I am so lucky that I finally got to meet you. You are just as amazing as I knew you would be. Stampin' Up! is one of my favorite things but the friendships we strengthened on this trip are truly the most amazing thing! You made me cry as I read this. Why don't we live closer?! Love you friend.

    1. I don't know why we don't live closer, but I do know that Canada needs more card making massage therapists! We are in a crisis right now actually...
