Stampin' Up! Color Theory Suite & Number of Years Stamp Set ~ #TGIFC129

Happy Friday to all! For those who might be new here, I am a Canadian Stampin' Up! Independent Demonstrator, located in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Another Friday means more fun with the TGIF Challenges Team! The inspiration for this week's challenge comes from a lovely sketch ! Make sure you drop by the TGIF Challenges site this week! You won't want to miss all of the fabulous creativity that is being shared.

To be honest, sketch challenges are my fave! I especially love all of the sketches that my friend Jeanna pumps out! She is our team lead over at TGIF, and all that I can say is that she is well.... pretty awesome! Here is my take on this week's sketch...

When I stared at this week's sketch, I initially wondered as to where I should start? What kind of card should I create? Who has a birthday coming up? Then the harsh reminder hit me... our baby is turning 7 this month. It's a celebration for sure. But also, it's a reminder that our babies are growing up. I work in an area where some don't have the privilege of watching their kids grow old. So in this sense, I know that I am blessed. At the same time, some selfish, loving, joyful part of me, just wishes I could freeze time. To hold these precious moments forever. To keep my babies small. One thing I know for sure is that I will always be their mommy. And they will forever be my babies. On that note, let's just enjoy our youth! My plan today is to go for a jog, or a walk, with my beautiful family. I will enjoy each and every day. For every day is a blessing.

Not gonna lie, I think my sweet babe caught a glimpse of this card today. I know because I saw a glimmer in her eye as she glanced my way while I was creating today's masterpiece. I hope that her heart is as full as mine. I am so blessed to be her mom, and will always be so proud to say that she is my daughter. She is always making me smile with her hand crafted art. It makes me happy to think that I can do the same for her. I can't wait to plan the final details for her birthday! There will be lots of colour, & a few unicorns! I know that much!

Well, thank you so much for visiting today! I hope that you have enjoyed today's sketch project! Remember to stop by the TGIF Challenges site and play along! As well, feel free to contact me if you have any questions!

Cheers & Happy Stamping!
