Creating Kindness Blog Hop - Art Inspiration

Well hello everyone! I hope that you are all enjoying your week! If you are new here, my name is Carolynn Sander. I am a Canadian Stampin' Up! Independent Demonstrator from Calgary, Alberta. I am so happy to have you here today! I am also extremely excited for today's "Art Inspired" Blog Hop. If you have been hopping along, you most likely arrived here via Marcy Denning. Marcy is always popping out awesome projects! She is one of my Canadian Stampin' Up! Demonstrator friends. I am truly blessed to be representing Canada, alongside Marcy, as a member of the Creating Kindness Team. Saying that, let's get on with the show, and check out today's "Art Inspired" projects!

As you can see above, today's card was inspired by the famous Vincent van Gogh "Sunflowers" painting. There are many spin offs of this classic composition. I love that so many others have "CASED" (Copy and Share Everything) the original work of art. The paintings are all so similar, yet different in many ways. Now for my stamping take on this miraculous painting, check it out below...

What do you think of my art inspired project? Can you pinpoint the elements that were influenced by the painting? Did you notice that vase? For more close up details you will have to check out the photo below.

To be honest, the Stampin' Up! Painted Harvest Photopolymer Bundle makes CASE'ing this piece of art much easier than one would think. I say that lightly, but this bundle is so beautiful! Check it out below! #swoon

As for that pretty vase? Well you will have to check out the video tutorial I created. It shows you just how easy it is to be creative with what you have!

Today's blog hop is also a video hop. In order to view all of today's video tutorials, click on the YouTube icon below. You won't regret it!

So what did you think of today's tutorial? I hope you make a few paper vases in your near future! Next up in the hop is Jay Soriano! I can't wait to see his stunning card! Click on the next button below so that you don't miss out!

  1. Absolutely beautiful Carolynn! I love your little vase, and I love how you have fussy cut all the layers of the sunflower to create such fantastic dimension. The frame in the background adds an extra touch. Love it all.

  5. That vase idea is super cool! I never would have thought of that! I love your take on the Van Gogh, you've really captured the color and feel of the original painting, while making it uniquely yours, too!
