Be Inspired Design Team Blog Hop - Stampin' Up! Peaceful Deer Stamp Set

Hi there! Welcome to the Be Inspired Design Team Blog Hop! You are currently visiting Carolynn Sander in Calgary, Alberta, Canada! If you have been hopping along, you most likely arrived here via the talented Laura Mackie! Laura is from the UK and I know she must have inspired you with her project today! She is always giving me creative stamping ideas! 💖

The theme for today's hop is "Pick a Season"! It is summer here in Canada, and we are soon heading into the fall. Kids are heading back to school this week. Our camping adventures have come to an end for yet another year. Let's hope the dreaded snow keeps at bay for a few more months. Even though I am not all too excited for winter, I decided to share a winter-themed project today. My mom says that it is too soon for Christmas cards. But Christmas will creep up on us, just like every other year, so I broke out one of my favorite winter sets from Stampin' Up! and started stamping away.

The Peaceful Deer Stamp Set made for a pretty quick and easy card here today. This lovely deer stamp coordinates with the Stampin' Up! Deer Builder Punch. Therefore no fussy cutting is involved. Paired with the Stampin' Up! Celebrate Everything 12" X 12" Designer Series Paper (DSP), which is a Hostess Gift that is available on page 87 of the current Stampin' Up! Mini Catalogue, this project is cute but also oh so easy to replicate. Check out all of the wonderful prints from this DSP in the image below! It is full of fun, bright, and diverse patterns, fit for just about every season.

Below is a close-up of today's project! Is the Polished Pink flower embellishment not adorable? It coordinates with the DSP, so I couldn't resist adding a feminine touch to our little deer. If you were looking to make the deer more masculine I am sure you could use your imagination and add some other sort of detail to the deer to make him more manly as well. There are so many possibilities.💖

I hope that you enjoyed today's project! For a full list of Stampin' Up! supplies, or to order in Canada, check out the shopping list below. Up next in today's hop is Brian King! Brian is always inspiring me & I am sure he will blow you away! 💖

  1. Love the color choices and angle of your DSP on your background. I had to laugh at your Buck.... but I assume he's wearing a pink flower for his beau! Love how you add contrast with your scalloped circle too.
