Stampin' Up! Soft Pastels Assortment - #TGIFC344

Hi everyone! My name is Carolynn, I am a Stampin' Up! Independent Demonstrator from Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The TGIF Team is at it again with some crafty inspiration! Come on over to the TGIF Challenges Site and have fun creating with us! We would love to see what you come up with!

This week's TGIF theme is a product spotlight featuring the Stampin' Up! Soft Pastels! These pastels are one of those products that I just don't seem to pull out enough. This week's theme was the perfect excuse for me to play with them for the first time.

I have been a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator and fan since the dawn of this millennium. Stampin' Up! used to have Stampin' Pastels way back in the day, and this newer product version of an old time favorite got me pretty excited when I saw them! There are many techniques you can do with them. For today's card I took my Coastal Cabana colored pastel and scribbled on a scrap piece of paper. I then took my Stampin' Up!  Sponge Dauber and rubbed it in the chalky residue. The next step was to run the sponge dauber over my paper igloo that I created using the Stampin' Up! Brick & Mortar 3D Embossing Folder and the Classic Cloche Dies. By Sponging the chalk pastel over the textured cardstock it really makes the igloo pop! I am pretty happy with how this card turned out!

If you have yet to purchase the Stampin' Up! Soft Pastels Assortment you should really consider them. They are a very affordable addition to your crafty collection and there is so much more that one can do with them!

Thank you so much for visiting today! Feel free to leave a comment below! & Remember to check out the TGIF Challenges Site this week to join in the fun with us! I can't wait to see what everyone creates!

Cheers & Happy Stamping!
