Stampin' Up! Touches of Texture Stamp Set - #TGIFC141

Good day everyone! Welcome to another fun Friday with the TGIF Challenges team! For those who may be new here, my name is Carolynn Sander. I am a Canadian Stampin' Up! Independent Demonstrator from Calgary, Alberta. Today the TGIF team is sharing a fab colour combo! I hope that you can join us in creating some of your most amazing projects with these colours as your inspiration! Be sure to stop by the TGIF Challenges site so that you can enjoy all of the regal projects we have to share with you as well!

Interestingly enough, when I first had a glimpse of this week's combo I thought, "Well that's nice, but not a combo I would have chosen." & Believe it or not I love it when this happens, as it makes me create with products that usually wouldn't be my first grab! It helps me to expand my creativity. As well it makes me realize that I had pretty much no Island Indigo cardstock left in my stash. How on earth could this be? Hence another item to add to my next order! lol

To be honest, I pretty much whipped today's card up as fast as I could. I am still getting over the holiday rush. Catching up sounds like a funny joke right now, but we are getting there in our house. So yes, today's card included some very basic stamping using today's awesome colour combo that I would have never thunked up!

Unfortunately, I have a close friend whom suffered a couple of close losses over the holidays. Therefore a sympathy card was in order. I think that these regal colours combined with the new Glitter & Clear Epoxy Shapes really exemplify the feeling of loss. It saddens me deeply to have such an amazing friend go through what she has endured the past few weeks. I truly believe that when one's wounds are so so deep, there is nothing that we can say to make it better. But we can be there. Being there is key.

I hope that I didn't put too much of a damper on your day, but loss is something we all face at some point in life. Let's enjoy our day now, and live every moment to the fullest.

Take care, sending all my love.

Carolynn 💖
