Creating Kindness Blog Hop: 3D Gift Giving

Hi everyone! Happy Summer & welcome to my blog! If you are new here, my name is Carolynn Sander. I am a Canadian Stampin' Up! Independent Demonstrator from Calgary, Alberta. The Creating Kindness Design Team is celebrating our 2nd round of worldwide hopping today! Our team of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from around the globe have joined together in hopes to inspire you to create kindness through cardmaking and papercrafts. In addition to the blog hop today, there is also a video hop component! Make sure to visit my YouTube channel (link posted below). Within the YouTube video description there will be a list of video links that one can click through in order to see all of the videos that are part of today's share! I hope you enjoy!

For today's project I have decided to create a gift of sunshine! Have you heard of sunshine gifts? Well if not your should seriously do a google search! They are the sweetest gifts around! The notion of a sunshine gift is to brighten someone's day! Whether it's because they are feeling down, or simply just because! What is involved in a sunshine gift? Well you basically go on a yellow hunt! You find anything and everything bright and yellow, just like the sun! You then package it all up as a gift, and send it your loved one! Who wouldn't be over the moon to receive a box of sunshine? The project I have created today could be given as a gift on it's own, or in combination with other yummy yellow goodies! Either way, I am sure the recipient of this random act of kindess will be glowing when they open up their package!

I have used some of my favourite new products on today's project, as well as an old favourite. Check out the images from the new Stampin' Up! Lovely Inside & Out Stamp Set below.

Aren't these images and sentiments perfect for gift giving? I am sure this will be one of those stamp sets that I gravitate to on a frequent basis! As well, how perfect is this set with the Sunshine Wishes Thinlets Dies? I just love how they work together!

For today's 3D Item I put the Stampin' Up! Clear Tiny Treat Boxes to work! These lil boxes are perfect for those mini gifts, party favours, or just because! Plus, they are super easy to decorate! These treat boxes were decorated in a snap by creating a simple belly band to wrap around my sunshine gift! If you wish to see it in action, feel free to check out my belly band tutorial below!

Today's hop is also a video hop! In order to make sure you don't miss any of the video tutorials today, here are the YouTube links below...

  5. I am totally sharing this Sunshine Gift hunt for yellow with my kids. They are learning much about supporting others and thinking outside of themselves and your project is a fantastic leading example. Well done, Carolynn! Beautiful card and treats.
