Stampin' Up! Any Occasion Shaker Card

Hi friends! I am happy to be back at it today with java in hand, sharing with you this fun & bright card that I created. This was another one of the display cards I created for the Stampin' Up Canadian leadership conference this past month. As mentioned in this previous post, all of the display samples I created (including this card here), were made using the "Any Occasion" stamp set. I may sound like a broken record, but if you are in Canada you can earn this set for FREE with a qualifying purchase of $60 during Sale-A-Bration (SAB). The promotion runs until March 31st. Seriously!! Whether you are new to stamping and card making, or wish to build on your stash, this is the best time of year to get going on it! You can earn an unlimited number of SAB products during the special so get in touch with me today to place your order, host a party, attend a class, or sign up to be a demonstrator! Now on with today's card ...

Today's project  is an example of my favourite card style. Who wouldn't love to receive this fun shaker card to wish them a happy birthday? It's somehow so rewarding to shake those little bits around. A cute idea would be to fill the envelope with the same hand stamped & punched confetti! When your recipient opens this card it will be like a surprise bash bursting at the seems! Who could resist really? I may have to send myself one! If you are unsure how to make a shaker card you can check out the video tutorial from Stampin' Up! below.

There are so many ideas one can come up with when making these cards. You can check out a shaker card I made last year by clicking HERE.  For today's card, I have chosen a few of my favourite colours to make this Stampin' Up rainbow! In order they are: Crushed Curry; Tangerine Tango; Rich Razzleberry; Eleggant Eggplant; Bermuda Bay; & Basic Black. What do you think? If you like bright & fun then I think it's a win!! If not.... well then there are 44 other colours Stampin' Up has for you to choose from! It's a win win really!
Now as for the stamp set I have used today, at first glance you may be unsure as to which set I used. The thing that is great about the photopolymer stamp sets is that you can actually bend the images as I have done here today. For example, the "Celebrate" sentiment below was altered/bent before mounting it on the clear block so that it would align with the side banner on today's card. Cool huh!
Now if I haven't convinced you that you need this set yet, well there are many more possibilities! Check out the video tutorial from Stampin' Up below. It showcases this set and other projects you can create with it!

I hope I haven't overloaded you with too many videos today! They are so great that I can't help but share them with you all! I hope you are having a great weekend! As usual if you have any questions about today's project feel free to contact me. We'll be creating this card at my next home workshop so stay tuned. I have yet to pick a date, but details will be posted soon for my February stamp class which will take place in my SW Calgary workshop (AKA kitchen)!

Cheers!
