Hi everyone! What better reason to share a post than to announce the new Stampin' Up 2016-2017 Catalogue! Along with it I am sharing with you a brand spank'n new card that features one of my most favorite new stamp sets, Pop of Paradise. Since I fell in love with this set I feel like I am seeing flamingos and pineapples everywhere. I'm not sure if this is a new trend, or if I have just found a new love, maybe it's both!
Funky hey? I love that card making can be funky & not just frilly foo foo. When looking for some pineapple inspiration I came about these color me rad like pineapples.
I thought, how can I get this pineapple to stamp a rainbow without actually running through a cloud of rainbows with it? Not that running through rainbows isn't fun!
Well what I came up with was to try out the baby wipe technique. I hadn't done this in forever, but it worked quite well. If you haven't heard of this technique before, you basically take a fresh baby wipe and ink it up with your favorite colors of re-inkers to make your own custom ink pad. Cool hey? I also spritzed the inked up baby wipe with some H2O (using the stampin' spritzer) before stamping my images. That way the colors meld together more, and you get that nice tie dyed look.
I used the colors shown in the supply list below. One of them being Dapper Denim which is a new color that was just introduced.
